Welcome! I’m Katie – Founder of KatieCafTravel

Thank you for showing an interest in my blog! I’m so happy you’re here. First of all, my name is Katie – I grew up in the suburbs of New York City. I only left North America for the first time when I went on a study abroad program in Italy during my junior year of college.

It was in Italy where I caught the “Travel Bug”, and made it my goal to travel as much as I could. Fast-forward half a decade and I’ve been on the road full-time traveling for over three years, and have visited over 30 countries (and counting!)

I’ve been hopping around Asia for the past two years, and when I’m not traveling internationally, I live in Bali. I love exploring Indonesia’s remote outer islands and writing about them for this blog.

My special interests are adventure travel, history, exploring remote islands, and helping travelers just like you travel better and more often by providing quality travel resources and first-hand accounts of what to expect while on the road. 👉 Read My Story
