☕️ 👩💻 Milk Expresso: My Favorite Cafe in Kuta Lombok + Fast Wifi
I’m a creature of habit, and I visited Milk Expresso every day for two months during my time in Lombok for breakfast. Milk Expresso opens up at 6 AM (perfect for sunrise surfers) and has western brunch food. I appreciated their European-quality sourdough, strong coffee, and homemade carrot cake.
👩💻 Remote Work Tip! Milk Expresso is the only CoWork-friendly cafe I’ve found in Kuta Lombok, the wifi speeds are up to 100 MBPS and the CoWork room has AC and free entry.
☕️ 🍸 Bush Radio: Trendy CoffeeHouse That Turns into a Trendy Bar
Bush Radio is another cafe along the main street in Kuta Lombok. I loved their “New York Style” Levain Copycat cookies and Falafel Salad. Bush Radio is also a great place to stop for an evening drink.
🥗 Beach Hut: Quick & Budget-Friendly Lunch Spot With Great Salads
Beach Hut is my favorite lunch spot in Kuta Lombok, specifically for their “Big Bowl” salads. Have you ever seen that episode of Seinfeld where Elaine is going off about her Big Salad? They’re like that!
🐠 FishBone Warung: Local Indonesian Fish BBQ
There are multiple BBQ spots in Kuta Lombok to get freshly caught and grilled fish, but FishBone is the most famous. Eating at a fish BBQ spot is a great thing to do in KL, usually, they’ll have you select your fish raw and they’ll grill it in front of you and add the sauces.
🌯 El Bazaar: Middle Eastern / Meditterean Cafe
El Bazaar is the best Middle Eastern / Meditterean restaurant in Kuta Lombok. It has a great ambiance and is a little more high-end.
🌮 Cantina Mexicana: Decent Mexican Food & Fun Theming
Cantina Mexicana is a fun Mexican restaurant in Kuta Lombok where you’ll see people popping in for tacos, quesadillas, and margaritas. While the Mexican food isn’t super authentic, the restaurant is decked out with colorful twinkle lights and it’s a fun and social night-out spot.
🍕 Mama Pizza: Wood-Fired Authentic Italian Pizza
Mama Pizza makes fresh Italian-style wood-fired pizza. They’re also just about the only restaurant in Kuta Lombok that does delivery. High-quality dairy products like cheese can be very hard to come by in Indonesia, so if you need a nice cheesy pizza Mama is a great spot.
🌅 Ryan’s Cafe: Great Sunset Spot 20-Min from Town
Located about 20 minutes out from Kuta Lombok center, you’ll need a scooter to get to Ryan’s. Although it is a bit hard to get to, Ryan’s is on the way to and from Mawi and Selong Belanak. It’s a lovely little spot that serves simple food, but most people go for the view.
