Finns Recreation Club is the ultimate social club on the Island of Gods, with a fitness and kids club component. Finns is the only fitness club / social club/beach club hybrid on the island – As close to an “all-in-one” membership as you can find in Bali.

All About Finn’s Recreation Club in Canggu, Bali

Everyone planning a trip to Bali has heard of Finns, but what everyone doesn’t know is that Finns isn’t just a beach club in Canggu, but also a Recreation Club which is a whole complex that features amenities like a CoWorking area, fitness centre, tennis court, group fitness classes, a 25m pool, and spa.

In addition to having a reputation for the best parties, Finns Beach Club is also the only club on the island I’ve heard of long-term residents and expats in Bali buying memberships for. For the kids, they have Splash Water Park, a Junior Sports Academy, a Kids Club, and a Trampoline Bounce House.

As an expat in Bali, I’m considering getting a yearly membership to the Finns Recreation Club if I move to the Canggu area. So, while Finns is considered the best party spot on the island, it isn’t just for partying. Tons of families enjoy visiting Finns Beach Club in the daytime and come sunset, the beats get louder and the party begins!

👉 Tip! Finns Recreation Club includes unlimited workout classes in their membership. I think it’s a great value for what’s offered when compared to other incredibly pricey gyms in Bali.

Finns Recreation Club Prices & Membership Fees

Finn’s Recreation Club Clearly posts fees on their website and what each tier comes with. Currently, a monthly Lifestyle VIP membership for one person at Finns Recreation Club is around $250, and if you pay around $1,700 for an annual membership it comes out to around $150 per month.

YES, this is expensive. I’m aware that it’s what some people pay for rent in Bali, but you’re receiving a luxury service. Finns also charges similar fees to other gym memberships like PARQ Space in Ubud and Body Factory in Canggu, but you get a lot more with your Finn’s membership than you do at the other gyms.

VIP Lifestyle Membership

The VIP Lifestyle Membership is what most travelers and expats in Bali should be using. You can sign up weekly, monthly, quarterly, or annually. The longer you sign up for, the cheaper your membership is!

VIP Platinum

This membership is a long-term one that’s paid with joining fees and dues. I was told the platinum membership is best for businesses operating in Bali, because it can be used by different people, and is great for renting out to clients.

Finns Recreation Club: Bali Expat Review

I’ve tried a ton of Bali club memberships out, and Finn’s Recreation Club is a cut above the rest. While most of the clubs in expat hubs on the island have coworking stations, saunas, and cold plunges, Finns Recreation Club is a competitive price with the others and also includes a free waterpark, kid’s creche, and a dedicated beach bed at Finns Beach Club.

As an expat in Bali who has lived here on and off for the past two years, one of the biggest struggles I’ve experienced is finding a reliable gym. Most of the gyms in Bali are either super-ultra-luxurious (and expensive!), or basically holes in the walls with rusted equipment and no fans or AC.

I’ve written about the best gyms in Ubud, which I researched by trying all of them out. This was a time-consuming process, and what I discovered was that the best gym memberships in Bali are usually lifestyle memberships to day clubs that include other amenities, like pools, saunas, spas, and other features.

Other clubs I’ve joined in Bali, like Titi Batu and PARQ Space in Ubud, charge you an additional daily rate on top of your membership to use the beach beds near the pool – Finns has an actual beach club and offers a minimum-consumption free bed to all members! Way better.

Yes, it’s a little bit pricey, but if you’re staying long-term in Bali I would consider a Finns club membership as just being part of rent since you get so much out of it. That being said, I wouldn’t consider a Finns membership for anything less than the Quarterly Membership – It’s just a bit out of my price range. If you’re staying longer and can get a Quarterly or Annual Membership it becomes much more affordable.
