20+ BEST Cafes In Ubud That Have Fantastic Coffee, Views, & Vibes!
1. Sayuri Healing Food – Overall Best Food, Live Music, Wifi, & Coffee
Sayuri Healing Food might not have fantastic views or a gimmicky coffee menu like some of the other cafes on this list, but if you’re looking to stay in Ubud long-term, Sayuri is the overall best spot to pop in and visit for a cup of coffee and a nice breakfast. Specializing in Vegan health-conscious food, Sayuri does a rotating specials menu every day of the week – My favorite day is Sunday when you can get their Raw Lasagna. The whole ambiance is an extremely laid-back vibe at Sayuri, making it more of a favorite with locals and long-term visitors than tourists. There are standard tables and chairs where you can enjoy your meal, or there are pillows and low tables, and if you head to the back there are also cushions and lay-down matts. In the backrooms, Sayuri Healing Food hosts cooking classes, which is an interesting experience if you’re looking for a unique activity to do in Ubud!
⭐️ Try The: Raw lasagna, desserts, and coconut Milk Cappuccino!
👉 Bonus! If you stay past 6 PM Sayuri frequently has live music.

2. Mudra Cafe – Gorgeous Bamboo-House Architecture With Fast Wifi
Mudra Cafe is the new ultra-aesthetic Bamboo House cafe in Ubud Center. Specializing in a kind of pan-Asian/Western Fusion, Ayurvedic, and Vegan cuisine Ubud has become known for, I like Mudra Cafe because it has relatively fast wifi (40 MBPS), and a chill vibe. Booths with wide cushions and laptop-height tables line their upper floor, which is an open-concept Bamboo loft. Mudra is definitely one of the best co-working cafes in Ubud Center right now! The menu has Smoothie and Poke bowls, Dim Sum, Japanese Seaweed Tacos, and a wide variety of curries and matcha lattes.

3. Ubud Coffee Roastery – Specialty Coffee Blends
Ubud Coffee Roastery is another coffee-focused cafe in Ubud where you can choose your own locally grown specialty beans that go into your brew: for example, Kintamani vs Mount Ijen, Java beans. A super-tiny unassuming shop in the center of Ubud, every time I’ve gone to Ubud Coffee Roastery I haven’t been able to snag a seat – Luckily Ubud Coffee Roastery just opened a brand new cafe with 2x the seating next to the original!

4. Keliki Coffee – Limited Menu, Quiet, Great Views! (My Fav CoWorking Cafe In Ubud)
Full disclosure – I’m actually writing this article from Keliki Coffee Cafe right now! Keliki is one of my favorite CoWorking cafes in Ubud because it’s quiet, has an AMAZING view, and fast 80 MBPS wifi. Note! Keliki is a great place to spend a few hours and get a cup of coffee, but do know it has a very limited menu – It’s basically just a suspended coffee shack over the jungle.

5. Sweet Orange Warung – Best Brunch Spot In The Rice Fields
Sweet Orange Warung is a very special spot nestled within the Kajeng Rice Field Walk, which is a little spot of nature and a reprieve from the hustle and traffic in the center of Ubud. While Sweet Orange Warung doesn’t have an extensive coffee menu, I recommend getting one of their breakfast deals that includes fresh fruit, coffee or tea, fresh fruit juice, toast, and a protein like eggs. Sweet Orange Warung is where I bring friends for a relaxing brunch in Ubud.
Note! Sweet Orange Warung is located along a rice field walk, so you cannot drive your car or scooter directly there – you need to walk around 10 minutes to reach the cafe.

6. Milk & Madu Ubud – Bali Chain With Western Food (Like If Dumbo, Brooklyn Was In Bali!)
Milk & Madu is a very popular cafe chain in Bali that has three outposts; two in Canggu and one in Ubud. Arched ceilings and large windows with black metal frames, accented by Millenial Pink murals make Milk & Madu look like a cafe that was plucked straight out of Dumbo in Brooklyn and plopped into Bali. At Milk & Madu you can find pretty good Western food, they have salads, pizzas, burgers, wraps, and poke bowls at reasonable prices, as well as a whole brunch menu. I love Milk & Madu because while it doesn’t have a “Bali” flare, it’s a very stylish and reliable place to go for brunch or get a great coffee.
For kids, Milk & Madu is one of the best (and only) spots in town with a dedicated kids menu – called “Little Ankle Biters” (lol).

7. Zest Ubud – High-End Vegan Restaurant With Views
Located in the busy center of Ubud, you’d never guess what an oasis of peace Zest Ubud is from the hustle and traffic. Zest offers high-end vegan food in a boho new-age jungle atmosphere and is one of the most popular restaurants in Ubud. Although there are plenty of amazing vegan and vegetarian options in Ubud, more so than any other city I’ve ever been in, Zest offers a more elevated dining experience than the typical cafe. While Zest has a great atmosphere, I found their food to be absolutely terrible. I would still recommend Zest because it’s a cool cafe, but next time I will just stick to drinks! (Or easy foods, like pizza, burgers, and french fries!)
👉For Vegan Food: If you want a cool atmosphere, I say go to Zest, and if you want good vegan food, I would go to Sayuri!
💡 Tip! If you want a spot with a view, even just a one-seater, make sure to make a reservation!
💻 Coworking – Zest is cowork-friendly with plenty of 1-top tables and 45 MBPS wifi.

8. Seeds Of Life – Raw Vegan Cafe In Ubud Center
Seeds Of Life is a raw vegan cafe right in Ubud Center that has a large menu of raw health food. If you’re looking for the healthiest cafes in Ubud, it probably goes something like this -> Zest > Kafe > Alchemy > Sayuri > Seeds of Life, with Seeds Of Life being the absolute peak of health food in Ubud. If you want noodles at Seeds Of Life, best believe they will be made out of Raw Zucchini! One of the things I love about Ubud is the commitment to health on a level I have never seen anywhere else in the world. I love the SOL Bowl and the Raw Pizza at Seeds Of Life, but I could not tell you what they’re made of 😅.
Note! Seeds Of Life doesn’t sell coffee, but they do have an extensive tea menu. I asked why they didn’t serve coffee and I was explained that it’s because Seeds Of Life is a raw cafe, (which doesn’t really make sense to me because tea and coffee are both hot beverages – but what do I know).

9. Karsa Kafe – Best Cafe On Campuhan Ridge Walk
Karsa Kafe is a charming cafe located right along Ubud’s famous Campuhan Ridge Walk. On its lower level, Karsa has a view of its lily pond and even some over-water dining bungalows on the pond – on the upper level, Karsa has amazing rice-field views. I usually pop into Karsa to get a coconut after jogging on Campuhan Ridge Walk, it’s definitely worth a stop if you pass by on the Ridge Walk!

10. WYAH Art & Creative Space – Ultra-Instagrammable Menu With Forest Views
WYAH (which stands for “While You Are Here”) is an ultra-Instagrammable cafe in Ubud, which has become famous for its insane theatrical menu items. Featuring dramatic dishes like “Cloud Coffee”, which is composed of a cloud made of cotton candy, weeping condensation (which looks like rain) as the steam from a hot coffee cup melts it. WYAH also has a seafood platter titled the “Gastronomy”, which has dry ice creating fog on the dish, as well as a sheet of filo dough which is lit on fire as it is served to you (!!!!).WYAH prides itself on the artistry and creativity of its dishes, and we enjoyed our time there immensely.
That being said, while it’s a very showy spot that’s a cool place to visit once or twice, it’s more of an Instagrammable location than somewhere to actually go if you’re hungry IMO. The portions are quite small, and it takes a very long time to get your food – So, if you want a show, I recommend WYAH, if you’re just looking for some great food/coffee, consider some of the other cafes on this list!

11. Cretya Ubud – Day Club With INSANE Views
Cretya Ubud is day club in Ubud that also has a pool bar, and two restaurants, and is attached to the theme park “Alas Harum Agrotourism” which has a private rice terrace and a Balinese high swing. 👉 I live next door to Cretya Ubud in Tegalalang, and it’s my go-to spot to bring people when they come to visit Ubud! There is a special coffee station at Alas Harum where you can learn about the different Balinese Coffee Plantation methods, as well as see how they grow the Kopi Luwak (AKA “Cat Poop Coffee”). The food and drinks at Cretya Ubud truly aren’t that great, people mostly visit for the views and the experience. But since I live next door to Cretya, I’ve gone a few times just to get a drink and sit with my laptop, and get some work done.
NOTE! Cretya Ubud charges a 50K Indonesian Rupiah ($3.50) entrance fee because it is connected to Alas Harum Theme Park. It’s a bit of a day trip from Ubud center because it’s located 15-20 minutes outside of the city, but if you want to have an experience while you’re in Ubud, it’s well worth it in my opinion.
Tip! Bring your bathing suit and visit the pool bar!

12. Folk Pool & Garden – Secret Spot In Ubud Center
Folk Pool & Garden is kind of like a day club/ cafe/ bar in Ubud that doesn’t charge admission. Folk Pool & Garden is a super cool hidden oasis located right off Monkey Forest Road on the main strip in Ubud. (I didn’t even know it was there until I had been living in Ubud 2+ months!). It features a pool with a swim-up bar and curtained cabanas you can lounge in all day, but do note there is a fee and a minimum spend for using the pool and day beds. I’ve gone to Folk Pool & Garden to lounge in the garden area do some writing and get a coffee, and while the food isn’t the best, it’s a nice breakfast/lunch spot or a cool place to spend the day!
Tip! Bring your bathing suit and visit the pool ba + Check out Folk Pool & Garden’s open-air movie nights!

13. Lazy Cats Cafe – Vegetarian Restaurant With Chill Vibes
Lazy Cats Cafe is an Instagram-famous vegetarian-focused cafe in Ubud Center that actually lives up to the hype. It’s completely unassuming from the outside (and easy to walk past unless you know where it is!), which has kept the crowds down. It’s a nice place to pop in for breakfast, or get some work done and sip a coffee. Lazy Cats is definitely worth a stop in Ubud, even if it’s just for the Instagram pic.

14. Seniman Coffee Studio – Best & Extensive Coffee Menu
Seniman Coffee Studio is famous for being the best place to both buy and have coffee in Ubud. If you consider yourself a “coffee snob” and you know all about Sumatran vs Javanese coffee blends, or value a Chemex vs Syphon brewing technique, Seniman Coffee Studio is your place! While you can hang out at Seniman or prop yourself up on one of their communal tables to get some laptop work done, I don’t find the vibe there to be that appealing for hanging out -> At Seniman, it’s really all about the coffee!
Souvenir Tip! While Seniman isn’t my favorite place in Ubud to hang out, I do find it’s the BEST spot in town to bring back coffee souvenirs. Seniman Coffee Studio sells custom blends from coffee beans grown all over the different islands in Indonesia, and gift-box sets for loved ones back home.

15. Alchemy – Raw Vegan Food With Boho Vibes
An Ubud institution, Alchemy made a huge impression on me when I first visited Bali in 2019. I remember writing a friend back home saying something like: “It’s what Whole Foods wishes it was!”. Alchemy is a primarily Raw Vegan eatery and concept shop that has a yoga and meditation center on the top floor. At Alchemy, you can try special health foods like Raw Pizza, Medicinal Soups, and Open “Tuna” Sandwiches. The food at Alchemy is presented beautifully and features artful eco touches like straws made out of bamboo shoots and takeaway boxes crafted out of biodegradable banana leaves.
Tip! Everything on the menu at Alchemy is marked gluten-free, Vegan, Raw, and nut-free, so it’s a great spot for people with dietary restrictions.

16. PARQ Space – All-In-One Gym, Sauna, CoWork, Food Hall, Cafe Complex
PARQ is a brand new concept of Condominium development that calls itself the “City Of The Future”. There are a ton of different cafes in the PARQ complex, including a Chinese Tea Ceremony outpost, a smoothie bar, Bittersweet Cafe, an Asian-fusion restaurant, and a salad bar. Full of modern art, with pool views ample seating, and power outlets, PARQ Space is a great place to get some work done with a wide variety of dining options. If you want to visit PARQ’s sauna complex, called “Sauna Bali”, it’s a nice way to unwind after a day of working (or after a night of drinking!).
17. Starbucks – Old Faithful, Located Right In The Center Of Ubud
The Starbucks in Ubud is located right next to the Ubud Water Palace where you can see the Balinese Traditional Dance performances every night. While Starbucks does vary its menu per country, (for example – Starbucks in Morocco was surprisingly amazing?!?!), it’s pretty much the same in Bali as it is in the United States. This includes the price, a drink at the Starbucks in Ubud will cost you between $6-8, which is hard to justify in Ubud where you can get a whole meal for the same money. The good thing about Starbucks in Ubud is anyone can go hang out there if you’re waiting for a cab or the show to start, it’s open early for Ubud (8 AM), and it has wifi.
👉 Starbucks is pretty much the only place in Ubud where you can get a large to-go coffee, while some other places have to-go coffee as a concept, it’s usually in very very tiny cups (think, smaller than a Starbucks size Tall).

18. Tukies Coconut Shop – Best Desserts In Town
I love Tukies! Tukies Coconut Shop, Sayuri Healing Food, and Ubud Raw Chocolate are my favorite places to go for desserts in Ubud, but Tukies has the best ice cream. Tukies Coconut Shop is a Ubud chain (there’s one in the town center and one by the Sacred Monkey Forest) that sells everything coconut: Coconut ice cream, coffee with coconut milk, coconut butter, and coconut baked goods. In addition to desserts, Tukies also has a coffee menu that features coconut milk. I recommend getting the Coconut Affogato or Cappuccino!
Souvenir Tip! When I visit home I make sure to stop at Tukies Coconut Shop first and pick up things like coconut butter, granola, coconut chips baked goods, and bowls made out of coconut shells at Tukies and bring them back for friends and family in the USA. It’s gone over very well so far! Can’t go wrong with tasty gifts.

19. Cafe Pomegranate – Rice Field Views, International Menu
Cafe Pomegranate is another lovely cafe nestled in Ubud’s famous rice field walks. Cafe Pomegranate is shaped like a large bowl, capitalizing on the 360-degree views the cafe has of rice fields beyond. It has a similar vibe to Sweet Orange Warung, but is a tad more upscale, so I would recommend Sweet Orange for breakfast, and Cafe Pomegranate if doing lunch or dinner.
Dinner Tip! Looking for an AMAZING dinner spot in the rice fields? My absolute favorite hotel/restaurant in Ubud is the Rice Joglo Hotel.

20. Ubud Fairy Village – Fairytale Playhouse With Cafe (Great For Kids!)
Across the street from Sayuri Healing Food in Ubud Center lies a bright pink building that houses Ubud Fairy Village. I’m always equally surprised by: 1) How this place stays open (no one is ever in there!), and 2) WHY IS NO ONE EVER IN THERE? Seriously, it’s an incredibly cute and unique spot in Ubud Center. Inside Ubud Fairy Village is an incredibly intricate homemade fairy town that takes up most of the interior, save for a few (pink, of course) lounges in the corner that serve as the “cafe” portion of Ubud Fairy Village. Ubud Fairy Village is definitely a cute spot to stop in for a cup of tea or a small cake, especially if you have kids!

21. RÜSTERS – High-End Fare With Rice-Terrace Views
RÜSTERS Coffee is a high-end concept space that combines Scandinavian design and cuisine with Balinese culture. There’s an art gallery, boutique, coffee shop, and restaurant with rice terrace views in the RÜSTERS complex. The coffee at RÜSTERS is considered some of the best in Ubud, and everything there, from the ambiance to all meals and drinks, is very well considered. An extremely stylish complex, RÜSTERS would make a great addition to any Ubud Itinerary whether you’re going for brunch, drinks, or dinner.

22. Clear Cafe – Instagrammable Spot With International Menu
Clear Cafe Is a gorgeous spot right in the center of Ubud. It’s actually a Balinese chain and I’ve also been to the one in Canggu. Clear Cafe has a river with Koi fish running through its ground floor and decorates the second floor with fresh marigolds every day. While it has an amazing ambiance, unfortunately, its food isn’t very good – The menu is a giant book with literally every cuisine imaginable available: Indonesian, Thai, Indian, American, Mexican, and some of the things I’ve had there have totally missed the mark. I think because they try to do so many different cuisines, it winds up being mediocre across the board. So, I recommend visiting Clear for the vibes and to take some photos, more than to get a great meal.
For Picky Eaters Since Clear Cafe has an extensive Western menu it could be a great spot for kids and picky eaters!
